3in30 - Week 2

I have done so bad this week.  I have been sick, so I guess that’s my excuse.
So here is the run down:

1.   Establish a daily routine.  That’s funny; I don’t know why I thought I could do this.  Monday and Tuesday we did school work in my bed.  By the time Thursday got here, we were doing better.  It is amazing how much better the day is when you get up and out of bed early. Maybe we can keep the ball rolling.  My kitchen has not been cleaned before bedtime, but it has stayed pretty clean through the week.

2.   Stay on Budget for February.  I knew this would be hard too.  Well we got paid Friday, and blew the budget.  Maybe not all is lost; It’s not to bad.  We have one check left this month.  Hopefully, I can redeem myself on it.

3.   Do at least one load of laundry a day (M-F)  LOL   This is the funniest one of all. Haven’t done it yet.

Okay, why did I pick 3 of my hardest things to stick to; to do the first month?  Not very smart on my part.  I might have to break these down a little for March.

  1. In my opinion, if you were sick, you get a do-over. Total grace for illness.

    Hope next week is better!

  2. Part of your progress is realizing that your goals may need to be sized down a bit. Way to go! Be encouraged in the fact that you're thinking about your goals and trying to figure out how to obtain them. Keep up the good work and hope you continue to feel better!

  3. I found that establishing small routines daily is easier than building up a huge schedule to live by. Those always overwhelmed me, then discouraged me. I started small, Clean sink every night. When I wake up, make the bed and get fully dressed. Once I got diligent with that, it was easier to add in other things. FlyLady says 'baby steps'. Give yourself some grace and get well soon :)

  4. I had an off week as well due to being sick, so I understand how that goes. I agree that breaking things down into more manageable size chunks is a good idea. One step, one change at a time usually works better for me.

  5. Oh friend, give yourself some slack when you're sick!! It's the only way you'll recover!!! Praying for your quick recovery!! And HANG IN THERE!!!!

  6. I'll be the first to admit that there have been many times I flopped at my goals, too. I agree with Kristi...give yourself a break. Take ONE of your goals and ask yourself what you can do TODAY to make progress with it. Sometimes you just need a little nudge to get the ball rolling. ;)

  7. YOU CAN DO IT!! I'm on the early morning routine too, and so far {knocking on every piece of wood} I've been able to do it! It is amazing how much better my day flows :)

Sorry that you have been ill, take it easy. REST!! feel better :)

  8. Sometimes being ill can't take the steam out of our plans. I know when I am not rested my goals seem insurmountable. Like the others have been saying give yourself some slack and don't be too hard on yourself. You are doing a wonderful job.

  9. Stopping by from 3in30
Ooooooo sweet one...don't be discouraged I couldn't do all that stuff either. I'm horrible for a routine and most everything else you oh well I always think it could be worse. The family has clean {unfolded and not put away} clothes to wear, food in everyones bellies, and we make it through the day in one piece! That's awesome in my opinion and if anyone has gall too measure my success by their standards well....i'm the queen of comebacks :) so back to your check in post....
CHEERS for what you got accomplished and finishing the week in one piece! Some weeks will be better than others i've decided.
